Affiliate Disclosure
SportsBetEdge is committed to full transparency about how this site earns revenue. This disclosure explains our affiliate relationships, how they work, and how they do and do not affect our content.
1. What Is an Affiliate Relationship?
An affiliate relationship is a commercial arrangement where SportsBetEdge earns a referral fee when a visitor clicks a link on this site and subsequently signs up for or purchases a product or service from a third-party provider. This is a standard practice used by most review and comparison websites, including NerdWallet, Wirecutter, G2, and Capterra.
The referral fee is paid by the tool provider to SportsBetEdge. It does not come from you. The price you pay for any tool or service is identical whether you arrive through our link or navigate directly to the provider's website.
2. How SportsBetEdge Earns Revenue
SportsBetEdge earns revenue through the following mechanisms:
- Affiliate referral fees: When you sign up for a sports betting tool through a link on this site, we may receive a one-time or recurring commission from the tool provider.
- Cost-per-click (CPC) arrangements: Some tool providers pay a fee each time a visitor clicks through to their site from ours, regardless of whether a signup occurs.
- Display advertising: We may display third-party advertisements on some pages. These are clearly marked as advertisements.
We do not earn revenue from:
- Paid placement in rankings or "best of" lists
- Sponsored reviews or paid editorial content
- Tool providers paying to improve their ratings
- Any arrangement that requires us to publish positive content about a specific tool
3. Which Tools Have Affiliate Programs
The following tools reviewed on SportsBetEdge have affiliate programs through which we may earn referral fees:
- OddsJam — US-focused arbitrage, +EV, and promo conversion platform
- RebelBetting — EU/UK arbitrage and value betting platform
- BetBurger — Global arbitrage scanner
- Trademate Sports — Professional value betting platform
- Avo.bet — Multi-tool US sports betting platform
- ProfitDuel — US promo conversion platform
- SportBot AI — AI-powered sports prediction platform
We also review tools and platforms that do not have affiliate programs. These are reviewed using the same methodology and receive the same editorial treatment as tools with affiliate programs. The absence of an affiliate relationship does not negatively affect a tool's ranking or review.
Affiliate relationships are subject to change. If a tool we review adds or removes an affiliate program, we will update this disclosure accordingly.
4. Does This Affect Our Rankings?
No. Affiliate commission rates do not influence our rankings, ratings, or editorial content.
Our rankings are determined by a transparent scoring algorithm based on objective criteria: geographic coverage, strategy fit, user-reported profitability, feature depth, and pricing competitiveness. A tool with a higher affiliate commission rate does not receive a higher ranking as a result of that commission.
We have declined to promote tools that offered high commissions but did not meet our quality standards. We have published critical reviews of tools with affiliate programs when our analysis found significant limitations. We have ranked tools without affiliate programs above tools with affiliate programs when the data supported that ranking.
5. How We Actually Rank Tools
Our tool rankings are based on the following factors, in order of weight:
- User-reported profitability: Aggregated profit reports from Reddit (/r/sportsbook, /r/sportsbetting), Discord communities, Reviews.io 4.8/5 from 780+, and betting forums. We log 14,000+ user reports and weight tools by the consistency and magnitude of reported returns.
- Geographic coverage: The number and quality of sportsbooks covered in the user's region. A tool covering 80 US sportsbooks ranks higher for US users than one covering 20.
- Feature depth: Verified through free trial evaluation, vendor documentation review, and feature comparison matrices.
- Pricing competitiveness: Value for money relative to the features offered and the expected return for an active bettor.
- User sentiment: Aggregated ratings and reviews from public communities, weighted by recency and specificity.
Affiliate commission rates are not a factor in this scoring.
6. How to Identify Affiliate Links
Affiliate links on SportsBetEdge are identified by the following:
- Links to tool provider websites from review pages, comparison pages, and tool cards typically use affiliate tracking URLs.
- "Visit Site" and "Try Free" buttons on tool review pages are affiliate links.
- Links through our
/go/[tool]/redirect paths are affiliate links (e.g.,sportsbetedge.com/go/oddsjam/). - Direct links to tool review pages on this site (e.g.,
/tools/review/oddsjam/) are not affiliate links.
In accordance with FTC guidelines, we disclose our affiliate relationships prominently on this page and in the footer of every page on this site.
7. No Additional Cost to You
Using our affiliate links costs you nothing extra. The price you pay for any tool or service is the same whether you arrive through our link or navigate directly to the provider. In some cases, our affiliate links may provide access to exclusive discounts or extended free trials that are not available through direct navigation.
We never recommend a tool solely because it has an affiliate program. We never recommend a tool we would not use ourselves or recommend to a friend. Our goal is to help you find the right tool for your situation, because satisfied readers who find genuine value are the foundation of a sustainable site.
8. Community Data and Profit Stories
SportsBetEdge aggregates user profit reports from public communities including Reddit, Discord, Reviews.io 4.8/5 from 780+, and betting forums. These reports are paraphrased and cited by source community (not by individual username, to protect privacy). We do not fabricate profit reports or invent user testimonials.
Profit stories represent individual user experiences and are not guarantees of results. Sports betting involves risk. Past performance of any tool or strategy does not guarantee future results. The profit distributions we publish are based on aggregated community reports and represent a range of outcomes, including losses.
We include cautionary stories and failure rates in our profit distributions because honest representation of risk is essential to our editorial standards.
